McAirlaid's products are primarily used in food packaging and hygiene. This results in responsibilities and obligations which are implemented in an integrated management system and are regularly assessed by the German certification company Intertek. In addition to our self-checks, we work with established, independent institutions and are certified according to the following norms and standards:

ISO 9001

McAirlaid´s is certified according to the recognized ISO 9001 standard and has permanently implemented the requirements of this standard in an effective management system at all our locations.

BRC Packaging

BRC is a globally valid standard for food safety recognised by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). BRC Global Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials has been developed for the area of hygiene and product safety in the entire packaging industry with the aim of protecting food from negative influences. It meets the requirements for food safety, in particular through the integration of HACCP (food hygiene) and GMP (good manufacturing practice). McAirlaid´s fulfils these strict requirements in the category "high hygiene risk".

PEFC

The PEFC symbol guarantees that wood and paper products come from sustainably managed forests. Our PEFC certification by TÜV North confirms that the development and manufacture of our airlaid products fulfil the high standards of the “Programme for Endorsement of Forest Certification” systems.
